Gary Arlen
President
Arlen Communications, Inc
Gary heads a Washington-area
research and analysis firm and is a partner in the
Alwyn Group LLC, a strategic consulting organization.
He specializes in converging media, telecommunications
and information services. His primary focus is on
new applications and policy implications of broadband
and digital TV services, including the "triple
play." Mr. Arlen’s current work focuses
on interactive systems, including IPTV, Voice over
IP and the applications they delivery. He is a frequent
contributor to media and telecommunications periodicals,
and wrote an analytical column for nearly eight years
in Multichannel News.

Karen Brown

Karen Brown began covering
broadband technology in April 1999 as associate technology
editor for Cable World magazine. At Cable World she
helped develop its broadband content and applications
coverage during the Internet boom. In July 2000, she
joined Reed Business Information for the launch of
Broadband Week. In October 2003, she moved to Wireless
Week, where she writes about technology and business
issues and in January 2004, her editorial responsibilities
were further expanded to include feature writing for
CED.

Jeff Baumgartner

Jeff Baumgartner, formerly
the broadband editor of Multichannel News, now devotes
his expertise full-time to CED. Prior to his stint
at Multichannel News, Jeff covered emerging technologies
at CED. Before that, he was Denver bureau chief of
CableFAX Daily, produced corporate communications
for Jones Education Networks and trade industry reporting
for the Encore Media Group. Jeff is responsible for
the day-to-day editorial operations of CED and its
ancillary products.

Leslie Ellis

Leslie has written extensively
about broadband communications since 1987. She writes
the "Translation Please" column for Multichannel
News to "de-mystify" cable engineering terms for non-technical
readers. She wrote the A-to-Z dictionary "Definitive
Broadband" and co-authored "The Field Guide to Broadband."
With Roger Brown and Stewart Schley, she co-authored
"Planet Broadband," the tale of cable modem inventor
Rouzbeh Yassini and his vision for telecommunications.
Ms. Ellis is also a contributing research analyst
for Bear Stearns Inc., and a senior technology advisor
to CTAM.

Paul Connolly

Paul leverages his more than
20 years' experience in broadband and public switched
networks to help network operators generate new revenues
by deploying new digital interactive services. He
has held several management positions at Scientific-Atlanta
since joining the company in 1995. Before that, Mr.
Connolly was with Northern Telecom's Public Switching
Group for nineteen years, holding design, engineering,
marketing, product management and general management
positions. He has been widely published and speaks
at analyst conferences and tradeshows throughout the
year and has appeared on panels at the NCTA, SCTE,
Kagan and Soundview.

In addition to his role at B&C Consulting, Clifford
serves as an analyst for Information Gatekeepers, Inc.
He recently authored a comprehensive report titled:
"IPTV: The Telcos' New Light Sword," which details technologies
including FTTx, PONs, IPTV, and advanced DSL techniques.

Philip Poulidis

Intellon Corp.
Philip leads the product management and marketing
activities for Intellon's powerline IC products.
Prior to Intellon, Mr. Poulidis held various management
level positions at Conexant, Novell and Aliant. He
has been a pioneer in Internet-related applications
and services, having spearheaded the first unified
messaging service within a North American telco and
was instrumental in designing triple-play applications
for service providers worldwide.

Joe Seidel

Microsoft TV
Joe is responsible for Microsoft's silicon and set-top box strategy worldwide and manages Microsoft's relationships with ecosystem partners in those areas. Mr. Seidel has been involved in the hi-tech electronics industry for more than twenty years, approximately fifteen years of which has been spent in the video space. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2001, he worked at Texas Instruments and ReplayTV in various engineering and business development management roles.

Carla Stratfold

Carla joined RealNetworks in
2001 and is the senior executive responsible for the
company’s cable mobile enterprise technology
sales and content distribution. She has a 20-year
career in technology sales and service. Prior to joining
Real, she was VP of Business Development for BackWeb
Technologies. Previously, Ms. Stratfold spent ten
years at Oracle Corporation, where she held various
executive positions including VP of Product Sales
and Marketing for the US, Canada, Latin America, and
Brazil. Her organization was responsible for the sales
of and marketing strategies for Oracle Financials
and Manufacturing, Oracle Server and Tools and eCommerce.

Sandy Teger

Sandy specializes in the market
dynamics and customer needs for residential broadband
products and services. As co-creator of Broadband
Home Central, a Web site devoted to emerging trends
in residential broadband, she co-authors its monthly
business intelligence report. In her broadband consulting
role, Ms. Teger has consulted for cable operators,
technology suppliers, service providers, industry
groups and investors on high-speed Internet services,
cable telephony, interactive services and all forms
of wireless broadband. Previously, she spent eighteen
years with AT&T leading efforts in strategic planning,
multimedia, PBXs, call centers and unified messaging.

John Treece
Director, Cable Business Development
Juniper Networks
John is responsible strategic planning, technical analysis, and product development encompassing all Juniper product lines for the cable market. In his previous role, John was Sr. Director of Access Network technologies for Comcast's advanced engineering group. There, he was involved with industry initiatives such as; DSG, M-CMTS, DOCSIS 3.0, and NGOD. In addition, John served as vice-chair for the NGNA head end sub-committee which defined the M-CMTS architecture eventually published as part of the NGNA plan. Prior to joining Comcast, he has held various positions in Engineering and Operations for such companies as Viacom and InterMedia Partners.

Robert G. Benya

Time Warner Cable
Mr. Benya is responsible for
strategic planning, design, development and implementation
of new VOD services. He has held senior sales, marketing
and programming positions with U.S. and international
cable operators, Road Runner High Speed Online, as
well as basic and premium television programming networks.
At ATC, Group W Cable, Paragon Cable and Time Warner
Cable, his scope of responsibilities included management
of large cable systems in New York City and Scandinavia.
For the last 10 years, Bob has been at the forefront
of Time Warner’s product innovation efforts
overseeing VOD, Time Warner Cable’s interactive
programming guides and broadband online service development.

John Callahan

Time Warner Cable
John leads a team focused on
software engineering and development of Time Warner
Cable's next generation digital navigation platform,
featuring traditional Interactive Program Guide capabilities
while implementing advanced on-demand and interactive
television services for deployment across their legacy
and OpenCable systems. Mr. Callahan served most recently
as Senior VP and CTO of TWC’s Interactive Personal
Video Group. He began as a software architect and
program manager for the Full Service Network interactive
television project and then managed the "Pegasus
Program" to deploy digital television systems
across TWC. He previously held positions with AT&T
Bell Laboratories and US West Advanced Technologies.

Gil Katz

Harmonic Inc.—Convergent Systems Division
Gil Katz is working with MSOs
to define and implement next generation architectures
for on-demand services. For the past five years, he
has worked on development of VOD products and solutions,
including Harmonic’s market-leading Narrowcast
Services Gateway (NSG). An experienced speaker, he
has presented at many conferences throughout the world.
Mr. Katz has served as a member of the DVB-Simulcrypt
standards committee, and is a graduate of the Technion
Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer
Engineering.

David Large
President
David Large Consultants Inc.
David is a 32-year veteran
of the cable industry whose experience includes 18
years managing cable technical operations, 16 years
designing products for the cable television and microwave
industries and eight years providing consulting services
to network operators, equipment vendors, legal firms
and governmental agencies. Mr. Large was the 1988
recipient of the NCTA's Vanguard Award for Science
and Technology and was inducted into the SCTE's Hall
of Fame in 1998. He has published over 80 papers,
has been awarded two patents covering microwave technology
and CATV test equipment and is a co-author of the
book Modern Cable Television Technology.

Rick
is responsible for all business development, production,
technical, and integrated sales for Enhanced TV fare
produced for all Disney-owned broadcast and cable
network programming for over three years. Previously,
Mr. Mandler was VP of WDIG Local and Broadcasting
where he was responsible for developing and managing
the Internet efforts of the ABC Broadcasting properties,
including ABC-owned television and radio stations
across the country, ABC Radio Networks, and the localization
of WDIG’s Internet businesses. He was previously
VP new media for ABC Broadcasting, GM new media for
ABC Radio Networks and director of business affairs
for ABC News.

Steve McKay

Entone Technologies
Mr. McKay helped Entone’s
founding members launch the world’s first commercial
deployment of telco video and VOD services at Hong
Kong Telecom. From that deployment, Entone was established
to focus on the business case for enhanced television
services such as VOD and network personal video recording
(nPVR). Steve has helped cable operators and telcos
develop and create new business models for financially
successful broadband multimedia and personal television
services, including interactive on-demand and digital
video recorder services He previously was CEO of Ion
Global, a pan-Asian systems integrator and spent more
than 12 years with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting).

Frank Sandoval
Director, OCAP Specifications—Advanced Platforms
& Services
CableLabs, Inc
Frank joined CableLabs in 2001
to help develop the OCAP software specifications.
He has over 20 years experience developing consumer
entertainment software. As a Computer Science student
at the University of New Mexico, he designed and developed
interactive computer graphics museum exhibits and
then joined a pioneer in computer-based professional
learning systems. Mr. Sandoval later became one of
the first technical members of the staff of A.I.M.,
a Philips subsidiary, developing applications for
the CD-Interactive platform and subsequently developed
video games for the likes of 3D0 and Electronic Arts
and worked on advanced graphics solutions for the
web.

Craig Smithpeters
Manager, Advanced Technology and Standards
Cox Communications
Cox Communications Craig directs an engineering team
at Cox working to develop and deploy interactive
television services, the OpenCable Applications Platform,
and OpenCable. He represents Cox in such industry
standards organizations as ATSC, CableLabs, DVB,
Java Community Process, SCTE, and SMPTE and chairs
the Java Community Process' JSR 242 Experts Group
for the OnRamp to OCAP. He actively participated
in the development of OCAP, MHP, GEM, and ACAP iTV
standards for the past several years. Prior to Cox,
Craig worked for Nielsen Media Research's research
and development group and began his career as a software
developer for Capital One.

Mark Bakies

Mark has worked in the communications
industry for over 20 years, with a broad background
in data and telephony communications products engineering,
product management and marketing. He joined Cisco
in 1997 as product manager, leading efforts in the
emerging technology of packet voice communications,
and later served as Director of the Enterprise and
Service Provider Systems Marketing team in the Voice
Technology Group. At Motorola/Codex, Mark designed
hardware and software systems in their Packet Network
Communications Division. Recently, he spent 8 years
at Lucent as a systems engineer specifying product
requirements for voice processing, voice mail and
unified communications products.

Stan
has been with ARRIS since its inception as Arris Interactive
in 1996, holding positions as Director of Marketing,

From 1987 to 1995 he held several positions at Nortel

Sales, and Marketing. His last assignment was Director
of Marketing, Broadband where he helped develop the
Arris joint venture strategy with ANTEC.

Brian Cappellani

Brian is responsible for the
architectural and technology vision and deliverables
for the company's award-winning Service Management
Platform and Solutions Suites. A 12-year veteran
in telecommunications, his extensive background in
designing, architecting, and building large-scale
operations and billing support systems continues
to position the company well. Prior to joining Sigma,
Brian worked for Accenture in numerous roles of increasing
responsibility, including senior-level architecture,
engineering and development management positions,
held both internally and with Accenture's telecommunications
practice, focusing on the wireless and satellite
industries.

Charlotte leads a team responsible for the technical aspects of Comcast's communications platform across the nation. Before joining Comcast, Ms. Field served as Senior VP for Technical and Network Operations Organization for AT&T Broadband where she managed the Network Operations Center, National Service Activation Center for Telephony Provisioning and supported field technical operations. Prior to joining AT&T Broadband, Ms. Field held numerous technical and managerial positions in engineering, operations and systems development within the AT&T family of companies. Ms. Field is a member of Women in Cable and Telecommunications and has been recognized as the 2005 Women in Technology Award winner.

David is responsible for marketing and business development within the Voice and Data Solutions Group and the Fixed-Mobile Convergence application of Seamless Mobility focusing on Cable MSOs and Alternative Service Providers. Previously, he was a leader in the technical marketing and business development efforts for Motorola's VoIP solution for Cable MSOs, including the BSR 64000 CMTS. David started working in the cable business in 1996 where he was Director of Systems Engineering for Cable Data Products. He led the Pre-Sales Support for Motorola's cable modem and cable data infrastructure equipment business.

Ms.
Kirchner played a major role in the introduction and
ongoing management of Bresnans’ digital telephone
service. She oversees all aspects of the company’s
telecommunications and transport services and is responsible
for planning, implementing and overseeing maintenance
on all leased and company-owned transport facilities
for advanced services, including high-speed data,
analog and digital video, high-definition video, and
digital telephony. Katherine also performs IP capacity
planning for major hubs and regional high-speed data
markets and implements capacity upgrades and carrier
diversity to national backbone for IP services. Previously,
she was with Montana Advanced Information Network,
Mid-Rivers Telephone Cooperative, and Sprint/United
Telephone.

Michael Adams

Michael, with over 25 years
of senior executive and engineering experience, serves
as internal advocate for Terayon’s client roster
ensuring seamless interaction between vendor products
and fostering convergence between video, data and
voice products. He was VP of Broadband Technology
Development for the AOL Time Warner Corporate Technology
and Data Operations group, served as VP of Engineering
for Road Runner, and VP of Network Engineering for
the Time Warner Cable Corporate Engineering and Technology
group. Mr. Adams is co-author of the second edition
of Modern Cable Television Technology and authored
OpenCable Architecture, which received the Cable Museum
2001 Book Award.

Kristine Faulkner

Ms.
Faulkner’s team has responsibility for leading
the definition, development and implementation of
commercial products for Cox Business Services’
customers, as well as product lifecycle management.
Since joining Cox, her team has launched a full commercial
product portfolio, including Cox Business Internet,
VPN Services, Cox Optical Internet, Web Hosting Services,
Dedicated LD/TF Services, circuit switched and VoIP
voice services, and wireless plant extension technologies.
Kristine joined Cox in June of 2000 as a Senior Product
Manager of Web Hosting Services. Previously, she served
as general manager and director of Internet publishing
for the Daily Press in Newport News, VA.

Jeff Fryling

Jeff
has more than 15 years of experience in technology,
including operations and product development. He
is responsible for building the corporate infrastructure
to promote the growth of Xtend’s open standards
spectrum overlay product, which provides increased
bandwidth all the way to the customer premise. Previously,
he was a contract executive for two multi-national
companies and was involved in commercial ventures
with Raytheon, including roles as COO of SilentRunner,
Inc., a network and information security company,
and interim CEO of Perseid, an optical communications
startup. With Booz Allen Hamilton, he was responsible
for multiple telecommunications business development
efforts.

Ed
joined Hargray Communication Group in 1996 where he
has helped develop their HFC platform into a multi-service
platform. In 1983, Mr. Heuck joined what has become
Adelphia. Earlier in his career, he served as a regional
project engineer for Warner/Amex after being a service
technician for GE Cablevision. Ed started in electronics
in 1972 as a radio repairman in the USAF.

Chris
is responsible for directing product and marketing
strategies and driving new technology initiatives.
He has over 22 years of business and technical experience
focused in the cable, wireless and Voice over IP markets.
Prior to Arcwave, he was VP of marketing for Real
Chip Communications and director of marketing for
empowerTel Networks, both early innovators in the
development of VoIP products for cable and broadband
service providers. Mr. Martin was product line manager
for all Base Station Subsystem products at interWave
Communications. Earlier in his career, he held senior
engineering positions with Memorex Telex, Broadband
Technologies, and Coleco Industries.

Ian Olgeirson

Mr. Olgeirson joined Kagan Research in 1999, tracking the technological infrastructure associated with the delivery of advanced broadband services. He authors several of the company's most popular newsletters including Broadband Technology and VOD & ITV Investor. Leading a team of analysts, he also contributes to numerous in-depth annual reports specializing in the emergence, deployment and evolution of digital, on-demand, high-speed data, high-definition, commercial voice and data and telephony services. In addition, he leads consulting projects vetting the current and future technological capabilities of cable infrastructures in North America.

Brian Yohn

Brian is tasked with accelerating
revenue growth from business services targeted to
small, middle market and large enterprise customer
segments. His marketing responsibilities include product
strategy, sales channel strategy, channel marketing
programs, advertising and business development. He
has been at Comcast since 1997 in a variety of product
management and marketing leadership roles. Mr. Yohn
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering
from Drexel University and a Master of Business Administration
from the University of Delaware.
