Overcoming the Challenges of Managing Data From Over 60 Software Applications and Meeting Regulatory Guidelines

In 2003 ALTANA Pharma (a member of the Nycomed Group) was faced with the challenge of finding, selecting and implementing a data management solution for all laboratory data, which would be independent of the source applications that generated the data. The solution was required to manage data from over 60 different software applications, ranging from desktop applications to analytical data systems, as well as catering for 200 data acquisition devices and providing connection and support for 135 users.
